I watched The Bachelor last night. It was the first episode of the new season that I had seen. Actually, up until this summer when Jillian was the bachelorette, I hadn’t watched either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette in what seems like years. Naturally, I had heard about the scandal with the contestant Rozlyn who was “involved” (cheesy innuendo) with one of the show’s producers, so I knew Jake’s search for a wife was probably interesting… I mean entertaining.

Honestly, I wasn’t paying too much attention to the episode because I was drowning in reading assignments. It was more or less distracting background noise. There were some things that definitely caught my attention, like how many ladies he sent home. I have never seen a bachelor or bachelorette willingly send so many potential mates home in a single episode!! It was shocking! Does Jake want to find love or not? Or, maybe he actually knows who he wants to propose to at the end of the season — although a lot could happen between now and the finale.

The scandal associated with this season and Jake’s voluntary elimination of so many women is going to keep things interesting — I might have to watch the rest of the season just to see how things turn out.
